As we learn math in various ways, our classroom culture is one of collaboration as well as friendly competition. We incorporate games and activities into our curriculum to keep the content engaging and culturally relevant. Students spend time in teams problem solving real-world scenarios and situations. While we have learned how to adapt to virtual learning within the math classroom, these items will be a large asset for the return to in-person learning. Whether it's using timers for races to analyze the data, or using measuring tools to scale and construct murals - with these materials, our ability to see and experience math greatly expands!
