Providing as many opportunities to read and listen to stories each day will encourage my students to become competent, enthusiastic readers. During our center time each day, the students will be able to have a listening center, where they will have a variety of books to read-along with. Exposing the children to fiction and non-fiction stories, will promote fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and an overall love of reading and print-rich environments. Having a listening center will foster independent readers and positive self-esteem in our young learners. It is a win-win situation for successful life-long readers!

About my class
