When creating an effective classroom culture, students needs to feel as if they are at home. Engaging graphics, colorful murals, student work are just some of the ways that the students will feel apart of the class. I am asking for the rug specifically to be used for active discussions, social emotional lessons, and for reading and writing workshops. Students will also be able to use the rug for flexible seating area for students to work independently. I want my students to be able to enjoy learning in my class, but many times they are distracted. That is why I also included rubber bans for student desk. Sometimes being able to be focused, takes time and stamina. The desks band will allow students to be able to remain focused on their work. These two items will be very beneficial for my classroom for the upcoming year.
