These materials have be choose to motivate students into learning and wanting to come to school everyday. This also helps my students understand that even in a low income society we can have and use simple resources to learn new skills. These materials also are for more student engagement in the classroom.
Our classroom does not have much for the time being, these materials are a start to a new beginning. The books and other related resources are to involve students in reading and teaching students that we can learn new skills if we read. Also since this is a dual language classroom we need students to grow in both English and Spanish equally and not leave either language behind.
The flexible seating is part of my plan for inclusion. We have students that need to move around to concentrate and focus at the task at hand. I believe that this will help students understand that we care for them and we understand that they need certain objects to continue their road to success.
