Learning in the math classroom can be stressful for a lot of students which is why I love making my classroom as comfortable and inviting as possible for all. All of my lessons incorporate collaborative and whole group discussions so students have the opportunity to learn from me but also from each other. I push discussion so students can truly understand the mathematics behind the problems and know that mathematics is not about a right or wrong answer but experiencing the trials and errors through the process. I believe that is where the learning really takes place and being able to sit at a table with peers to discuss and work through each topic is much more beneficial than sitting in rows of single desks.
