As a new teacher, I have been left with an empty classroom that needs to be filled with classroom supplies. Much of these supplies such as notebooks, pencils, staplers, pencil sharpeners, erasers, and many others will either be given directly to the students or will be placed in the classroom for communal use. The school I will be working at is in an urban city environment where all the students receive free breakfast and lunch. As a result, coming to school prepared with all of the necessary school supplies that put the students in the best position to succeed can be difficult. It is my goal that in my classroom my students will not have to worry about not having the proper school supplies available to them. I hope you will help me to accomplish this!
