The materials from this project will be used to create custom swag for the students at my school. The finished products will be given to students as incentives and prizes for multiple programs throughout the school year.
By providing students with school swag as an incentive, we hope to boost student engagement, amplify student's voices and rebuild a sense of community within our school. Students have the opportunity to receive customized school swag based on attendance and by winning student of the month. Student voice committee members will not only receive swag for their participation but they will also play a key role in designing the swag. Once students receive their swag and begin wearing it around the school building, we hope this creates a sense of pride and sense of belonging to our school community.
Tangible rewards really motivate our students to show up and show out! Typically, custom items for the school are ordered through outside vendors. Receiving these materials will allow us to create these items on our own and reallocate those funds to purchase other things we need. By donating to this project, you would be assisting us in getting the tools we need to make this school year (and many more!) a great one.
