Interactive notebooks help students by guiding them through daily lessons and note-taking, along with being a resource for quizzes and essays. Interactive notebooks engage students by enabling them to continuously refer back to guided notes. With this Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, supported through the creation of this DonorsChoose project, every student will be guaranteed all of the proper resources required in creating an interactive notebook. The use of this gift card will fully pay for lesson materials that correspond to each of my unit plans for the year. My school utilizes and focuses heavily on the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project. More than half of my students come from low-income households. Additionally, many of my students read and write below grade level. This gift card will guarantee that each of my students has both paper and digital resources to create interactive notebooks that students will benefit from daily. These interactive notebooks will keep my students actively engaged in lessons, aid in the reduction of my students falling further behind with this advanced curriculum, and ultimately better prepare my middle school students for high school.
