Each one of the students I work with need information presented in a clear, concise matter. A visual schedule will help each student navigate their school day successfully. Students need to be able to navigate their school, whether in the general education setting or in the resource room. Some students will benefit from colored pictures they choose from on their personal communication system. These visuals will help students express themselves without becoming frustrated when they are not understood orally. Students become frustrated when they are not heard or understood. Having communication systems for these students will minimize negative behaviors in our students and encourage a positive learning environment.

About my class
