Flexible seating helps students stay engaged and ready to learn. Students need to move and flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, etc. This can help students stay more alert and focused throughout lessons. I have requested flexible seating such as wobble chairs and cushions, soft seats, beanbag seats, and floor seats. Flexible seating will be used throughout the day during reading, writing, guided groups, independent reading, etc. As we welcome students back after the pandemic, we need to make sure students are feeling safe and comfortable so they are ready to learn at a high level. Flexible seating gives students a choice in what kind of learning space is best for them.
