As a class filled with English learners and special needs, many of my students are consistently behind in reading skills, specifically vocabulary and comprehension. This difficulty puts them at a disadvantage for communicating with peers, understanding testing language, and hinders their confidence and motivation for reading. I want to provide my students with the extra literacy support they need to become confident, successful readers who love to get lost in a book! Many of my students do not have English speaking families or access to books and literacy resources at home, so I want to make sure they have all the tools they need to improve their reading and language ability in the classroom. These items will not only be appreciated, but cherished, by these grateful students and their teacher!

About my class
