The items in this project are quite literally the missing pieces of our music classroom. The drumsticks will be used with our 4th graders for our bucket drumming unit, and our 3rd and 4th grade elective percussion students. The mallets will be used by all grade levels for our beautiful Orff instruments. This project will facilitate hands-on music education. In this age of over-screened education a hands-on experience in the music classroom is crucial for students' social/emotional wellbeing in school. Our students have a need of reconnecting with sensory and collaborative experiences in a classroom environment, and this project will put that experience right into their hands!

About my class
