Having taught 12 years, I have dreamt of the day that I would have a horseshoe table to teach my wonderful 1st graders at. We would specifically utilize the table during our guided reading block. Small group instruction is very important in 1st grade and having a close connection with the students is vital in their learning. I know that this table will make a huge difference, not only in my students learning, but also in the way that I can teach my students. I am listing off numerous ways, in my head, how this table will be utilized throughout the day. Guided reading is only one part and I look forward to hopefully putting the other ideas into action. Thank you!
