I would love for my students to not only be independent learners, but to also practice organizational skills including taking care of our daily materials. Table caddies will ensure students can access their materials quickly throughout the day especially during Literacy Centers. We would also use our book bins daily for Power Reading, a routine we do after lunch to promote students' love of reading. For this activity, I select individual books for students, store them in bags, and place them in bins for students to access. After lunch, students come in, grab their bins, and read their books to relax and unwine. I select these stories based on student interest. With the items I have requested, students will be able to access their materials and books easily throughout the day, making transition times much more smooth.
