My students are brand new to elementary school and it is important that we show them how fun school can be! With your help, I will be able to give my students more opportunities to learn through play. I have students ranging from newly five to six years old. At this developmental stage of life, children need to be able to get out of their seats and play, but learn at the same time. The items that can be funded through this project will give my students that opportunity by giving them different STEM activities, Lego Bricks, magnetic blocks, and many more hands-on building materials to help them learn while playing. STEM activities are a very important piece of our curriculum and adding these materials to my classroom would benefit each and every student who walks through my door this fall! Within this project you will also find a sensory component to it, as I focus a lot on the social emotional piece of kindergarten. I am creating a sensory bin for all of my students to use if needed. Sometimes we all need a break and this bin will give my students the option to take a step back and take a breath.
