Students will learn the elements and principles of design. They will create mixed media projects based on artists we learn about in class: Elements & Principles of Design with Construction Paper Collage Paper Beads / Paper Sculpture Text & Image Mosaic (beads and paper) Yarn Painting (inspired by Huichol art) Recycling / Upcycling (bottles to vases and books to art pieces) Assemblage (found objects from various sources, including homes of the students, dollar stores, etc.) Visual Memoir / Installation (text, with images - autobiographical visual stories with found objects, patterns)
