During the COVID-19 pandemic, many students began to fall behind due to the lack of available resources such as technology and books. In the digital world, many students spend majority of their time reading books and articles online. My goal is to give students the opportunity to continue reading physical books and to enjoy reading books in comfortable seating that they can personally relate to. Reading opens the mind up to new opportunities and ideas. With these materials, students will have a safe, comfortable, and engaging space to open their minds through the world of reading. Students will be able to independently read books on their level in an inviting space, and they will be able to analyze the texts they are currently reading for pleasure. Being that my students need a reading boost, it is imperative that they have a comfortable place to read freely and openly. This project will allow the students to have that safe, comfortable space within the classroom.

About my class
