My goal is to provide my students access to books they can relate to. I want to create a classroom library with a plethora of reading opportunities to grow their reading comprehension skills. They more than understand what they can relate to. From coming-of-age titles to historical context to guided reading and more. As their comprehension skills increase, they compare and research different themes and concepts in our history. Also, students might not think it's cool to go to the library. They have to be in class though.
