The challenge facing the students in my classroom is that the classroom supply budget has been cut to just $50 a year for any paper, paint, crayons, Kleenex or copies they may need throughout our 180 days together. It is impossible to enjoy all the creative artistic experiences without paper. My students are all turning five this year. They are curious, inquisitive, and rambunctious. We love to learn with hands-on experiences using fine motor skills, dancing breaks, and art activities. We attend a school that faces challenges with 44% of our students on free and reduced lunch, and have a high population of English Language Learners.

About my class
