The materials I am requesting will allow my students to make the connection between what we are learning in the classroom and how it relates to them. Often times it can be difficult for students to visualize concepts when they can't physically see it in front of them. The microscope slides will allow them to understand what they're made of down to the cell! As Middle School Students are struggling to define themselves and figure out who they are, these microscope slides will allow them to visualize what they are made of and allow them to build up their definitions of themselves from the cellular level! This will be an asset to my classroom especially to students who are learning English as they can visually comprehend concepts that can sometimes get lost in translation.
