Centers are critical in math class in order to promote math talk and a deeper level of understanding. Math is already hard for the majority of our population. Students want to have hands-on materials where they can picture the problem. We all learn differently and centers allow me to reach ALL learning styles. My goal is to purchase task cards, puzzles, interactive notebooks, and games on Teachers Pay Teachers to give my mathematicians an opportunity to have fun, yet learn and teach others how math is all around us. With fun activities, my students are more willing to dig beyond the surface and stay productive in school.

About my class
