For the past year and a half, students and teachers have been sitting in front of a screen for hours. As students return to school, it is becoming more and more evidence that a clear balance between paper and digital work is pivotal for learning. Having a Document Camera will allow for a clear view of annotations, thinking, mapping, and instant corrections on paper--an opportunity for students to learn to edit and not just delete or erase mistakes. While using a digital app might seem like the "best" thing, it limits our ability to see the greater picture. Online writing and drafting only allow us to see one page at a time, like tunnel vision. Students need to see the bigger picture.
