Students will read about how these dogs are groomed for their position on the team and about their hard work and perseverance. Our students will read and learn about the Iditarod sport and what it takes to prepare for such a sport. Students will create a mural in the school hallway and share what they have learned with the lower grade levels. Students will take what they have learned in the classroom and share the experience at home with their families. We will do art projects and writing letters to the owners of these dogs and organize a support program.
