The boys in my class love reading and need help with their comprehension skills. It helps if they are explaining something that they enjoy reading first. I then plan on having my students do a creative book report because that is a great way to practice comprehension. When students work together to create something it helps them learn social and emotional skills and provides positive interactions in the classroom. Reading will help my students’ comprehension skills and this can help them achieve higher scores on standardized tests. Having appropriate social and emotional skills will help foster a positive testing environment inside our school.
