The manipulatives in the brain bins will allow my students time for unstructured inquiry, imaginative play, working together and learning to share. With just a short amount of time each morning these hands-on brain bins can foster creativity, imagination, oral language, collaboration, social skills, critical thinking, problem solving, curiosity and vocabulary. A variety of manipulatives will allow multiple bins to be used in a rotation system giving students the opportunity to explore and create without getting bored. The manipulatives include various kinds of blocks and playdoh/kinetic sand to experiment with.
