After our tough year of teaching online, our K-2 team is in need of re-engagement strategies to help inspire students to learn in a traditional setting. We will use the suggested strategies in the textbook to lesson plan engaging lessons for our students. Our students will benefit from professional development because they will have access to fun and engaging lessons. Our teachers want to help the kids transition back into the classroom with the most ease as possible. We want to get the kids excited! With the use of this text, we will have a Pirate theme Professional Learning Community and this theme will be used as inspiration to reengage teachers as well as students. Teacher burnout from this past year needs to be addressed through an engaging professional development.
