First graders have a wide range of reading abilities and interests. Options and choice are so important in encouraging young readers to continue reading. If a child doesn't like the subject of a book, they won't be interested in reading the book. If the book is too hard, the child won't be able to read it. Funding my project will help me give my kiddos many different kinds of books in many different ability ranges. My goal is for every child in my class to have a whole box of books they love!

About my class
