Because this is a ninth grade math classroom, my students and I will be journeying through algebra together in-person. Mathematics is a subject that requires patience, pattern and perseverance. With that said, my students will need these supplies (such as the box of pencils and pencil sharpener) to help them discover the mysteries of mathematics and formulate new ideas of their own. My goal as a mathematics educator is to make mathematics come alive by involving students' interests. My construction gurus will explore the importance of mathematics when building arches, measuring and more. My creative chefs will explore the relations between ratios and a ravishing dish. My amazing artists will use their knowledge of symmetry and sequence to construct masterpieces. There's something for everyone in the realm of mathematics. Please help me by supplying my students with the materials they will need to truly experience a personalized and embracing journey through mathematics.
