Having access to fun and engaging science materials will help my students all year long! The materials I chose can be used throughout the year, both inside and outside, to enhance our science learning in First Grade. We will use butterfly nets, creature habitats, and trays to safely collect insects and other interesting things. We'll use the magnifying glasses, binoculars, wildlife identification cards, magnets, and planting kits to observe nature. I hope to create a community of students who LOVE and care for our planet by spending time outside together, exploring our forest and pollinator gardens! These materials will help enhance our lessons on patterns in nature, how things change, how to care for the Earth, and how things grow. The materials will be shared with two other First Grade classrooms, and they can be used for many years to come so that they will impact an indefinite number of students!
