This will give my second graders hands-on experience with life science. They love when we have Mad Scientist Days and do experiments. My hope is that this will spark an interest in some of them becoming scientists in the future. My classes love watching the chick hatching process and being able to take care of the baby chicks after they hatch. This would be the first year we would be able to hatch ladybugs. The children would love to learn how they hatch and watching them being released. Children learn more from hands-on experience than study from a book or worksheets. Let's put some real life lessons in their curious hands.

About my class
