I believe that students should take ownership of their learning. I also believe that children learn best when they are comfortable. I want to make sure they have an amazing classroom to enter on the first day of school. Students need structure and organization. The rolling cart and mail sorter will be used to organize their upcoming assignments and for them to turn in completed work. As a student centered classroom, my goal is to have them grade certain assignments themselves, so they can learn from their mistakes. I also want them to have the flexibility to sit around the room and complete independent work. The white boards will serve to enhance class engagement. I want to implement turn and talk, so that my students can engage with their classmates and work out problems with ease.
