I want my students to be able to walk over to our classroom library at any time after completing work and pick up a book. Rather than giving them "busy work" I want them to be able to free read. I want them to have a love for reading. I also will be picking out a few of these books and reading the books to them to help with listening skills as well as comprehension. I am really excited to start my first year of teaching with 3rd/4th and 5th grade combo class.
