All students' social and emotional needs must be met before learning can happen! My heart's desire is to create an environment that students feel safe, trusted, secure, respected, and loved. There are so many outside variables students have in their lives before they enter the classroom each morning that create stressors in their lives. These tools will promote regulation, improve focus, and increase participation, therefore enabling the students to be available for learning. Meeting students' social and emotional needs primes developing brains for learning, so that they are better able to take in and process lessons.

About my class
