An open, inviting bookshelf will entice students to choose a book and begin to explore their world through illustrations and print! It will also teach students about concepts of print and how to care for their classroom library. Students will need to find the front and back cover of each book, page through them carefully and replace them on the book shelf to share with the next reader. A new bookshelf will keep our classroom clean and organized so that students can easily access good literature throughout their first year of school.
