These tables will help create small learning pods within my kindergarten classroom that will support the growth of a calm, supportive learning community. Over the past two years, my students and their families have experienced trauma through the combination of being evacuated during the CZU wildfires, with some families suffering the loss of their homes, and the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic and lock-downs. My hope is to always have children begin their school experience being supported and excited to come to class to learn. These tables will help create a calm learning environment and give the opportunity for my kindergarteners to enjoy learning together in-person and while easing their anxiety.
