In first grade, students begin their real reading journey! I want my students to have a comfortable reading area where they can get cozy with a book and actually enjoy reading. I want my students to enjoy reading and get the most out of their experience. Getting excited about reading will translate across the curriculum and at home! My students are ESL and often struggle with reading. It will be a heavy focus in my classroom and if receiving these items, my students will be physically comfortable reading which can allow them to be mentally prepared to read!
