Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent reading times my students will be able to choose a location in the classroom that works best for them. They will be allowed to read at different tables on the stools, sitting under tables with their books, or sitting or laying on the floor, and on the beanbag chairs. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them to read and to increase their reading stamina.

About my class
