My classroom has had a white particle board in the front of the classroom. Unfortunately, after two or three uses of a dry-erase marker, the market is already dead. With budget cuts and other priority needs, I have opted to try this method for replacing the old one with a real dry erase board. A good portion of my teaching style of visual. I utilize the dry erase board of large concept maps and diagrams which allows the students to follow along. My students have always provided feedback that the colored outlines and diagrams I provide assist them in learning vs. following along on a powerpoint. In addition, I use the board for "team" competition points, examples and other content learning methods.
