We are looking to create an SEL space for our students. Many of our students come from low income families and face unique obstacles on a day to day basis. While in the classroom, our students discuss mature topics relating to Social Justice which can also bring about challenging emotions. This space will provide students with a safe environment to unwind and practice mindfulness in the school building. We are looking to include flex seating, art supplies, welcoming décor, yoga materials, and other supplies to help our students through social emotional learning.

About my class
