I started the chess club this year to help broaden my students' horizons. Chess is a great way to increase attention, critical thinking, and strategic skills, which are all skills that can be transferred into all other aspects of academics and even life. Since this is the first year of chess club we are currently playing with my personal chess board and one other small board that a student brings from home, so we are in need a more boards to increase the number of students able to participate at one time. By teaching proper technique with chess clocks, it will make the transition from casual chess playing to competitive chess more smooth. . So we are in need a more boards to increase the number of students able to participate at one time. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
