Last year, student had to stay in desks 6 feet apart. This rug would really help get students out of desks and still help them with personal space. Younger students learn better when active and the rug will help them have another area to learn. The rug will be placed near the classroom library and in front of the Promethean Board. Students will use the rug for literacy time, read alouds, and learning songs on the Promethean Board only to list a few of the activities this space will provide. Students really enjoy having different areas in the classroom to move too. Having different designated learning areas helps with student focus and attention. A rug is very important to creating a warm, comfortable, and active learning environment. Please consider donating to this project it will be a great tool in the classroom.
