The materials I am requesting for my classroom are going to be implemented in several aspects of our day. The sensory items will be used in my classroom's calm down corner. This area is prepped and ready to be used, all it's missing are the tools to aid students! The books will add diversity to my current classroom library. To help organize these books, I have also added some book bins to make students' journey through reading easier to access. The cushions will be such an addition to our space! I plan to allow seating around the room. The set of cushions will help students define their area while working independently. The Lego Bricks will be used mainly as a manipulative, but will also be available to students during indoor recess as an extended learning opportunity. By donating to our classroom, you will be giving my students the ability to choose the best working environment for themselves, as well as aid them in their mindful journey in social and emotional education. Students will be able to make decisions for themselves through flexible seating options. They will also have access to resources that will aid them in whole group learning and independent work.
