These flexible seats will help students learn to be in charge of how they work. Students want the power in their hands when they work independently, whether that is on the floor, at another table, etc. They just want the power to choose how they work. When looking at the regular classroom with just desks and chairs, it is hard for students to take control and be independent with how they work. There are not as many options for students in a classroom without flexible seating. I want my students to feel that they have a say in how they learn and work. That is as important to me as it is to them.
