Students will have an opportunity to enjoy and play games and at the same time learn math. Math is usually a hard subject for students to retain the rules and making learning fun helps students learn the content and have fun. I encourage students to try to learn and give positive encouragement and feedback to students. There are some students that feel as though they can not do the work. Just having someone believe in them and encourage them to try math makes a difference. This is a reason why I enjoy teaching. Students will use some items to help organize students' work and others will help students with social skills. The playing items can be used as an incentive for students that are doing well and give others something positive to work towards. In the third grade students learn multiplication facts and some games are helpful for students to help retain facts and other content.
