As we provide students rich opportunities to retain the content that they are learning, it is vital for students to have the materials to be successful. This year my 8th grade scholars will have the opportunity to take an honors math course. At the end of this course students will leave our school with a high school credit in Math I. Research shows that when students are given access to advanced coursework opportunities, they work harder and engage more in school, leading to fewer absences and suspensions and higher graduation rates. THe binder is key to success. Organization is an important skill in school, career and other aspects of daily life. The math binder is an organizational tool to help students maintain notes and school work in one place. ... They are expected to keep it organized using the mathematical methods they have been taught.
