As I enter my 15th year of teaching, I have held various positions, beginning in special education. My professional learning has always pointed toward allowing choice for students, especially in seating. This will be my third year in regular education and my second year teaching Third Grade. I'd love to make my classroom a space that meets the needs of all students and the movement they require to maintain focus. My classroom is currently equipped with vintage chair desks that do not allow students to freely move their chairs to collaborate with peers or provide movement opportunities.
