Special Education students are often left out of the interactive reading experience, but not any longer!! Laminating and adapting questions for each books allows all readers to engage. Each book will be paired with image choices, communication boards and specially designed questions, so that every student has a way to interact with the reader. Students pass answer choices or using an interactive switch to respond during whole group reading. I love reading to my students and when they can successfully respond and interact during a read aloud......they become READERS themselves. Intellectual and communicative disabilities should not keep a child from loving to READ!!
