Last year during digital learning, I read this book to my students and they loved it! They got so engrossed in the story and loved all of the characters. This novel covers science topics that are covered in third grade in a fun and meaningful way. It also offers students an opportunity to practice their context clue, vocabulary, and comprehension skills on an entertaining text that captures their interest. This text is also great for many stem and art activities that the students can participate with while interacting with the text. Also, by having these books students will actually get to interact with the novel itself which is something many kids missed during the pandemic.
