Having colorful comfortable seating and a delineated gathering space will foster relationships and group cohesion in the classroom. Engagement with learning will go up as students must actively engage their bodies to sit up on the cushioned seating. The easily moved seats will provide opportunity for group and partner work and targeted spots for audience and/or presenter seating. Having a neutral colored rug on which to gather during our several times together at the front of the room will make the rainbow of seats pop in the classroom creating enthusiasm to transition from tables to floor when the time is right.
