Last year I taught Kindergarten and was provided a classroom rug. This rug was so helpful when it came to teaching whole group lessons. The rug was broken up into 20 squares with five different colors. The students were assigned a colored square and knew exactly where to go to begin a whole group lesson. I am looping to first grade this year and unfortunately, I have to leave the rug in the Kindergarten classroom. I would really like to provide my group of kids with the same type of learning environment that we had from last school year.
